MyStemKits’ Time2Give Inspiration.

 In Community Events, News

In the spirit of continuing their community involvement MyStemKits partnered with Time2Give and created a grant that provided STEM Labs to an elementary, middle, high School, and an extended day program within the Atlanta Public School System. The applicants were awarded the STEM Labs based on their application and video entry explaining what the STEM labs would mean for the advancement of education in their school.

Each grant package awarded included two Dremel 3D printers, 3D printer filament, 3D manipulative and curriculum access for two years, $500 of kit supplies, training from the MyStemkits team, and ongoing mentorship for the school/organization.

Time2Give and MyStemKits CEO, Laron Walker, together with Atlanta Public Schools, surprised the four winners with a $15,000 STEM 3D-printing lab. As seen in the video below, the responses from each awardee exemplified the understanding of the importance these STEM labs held with elevating the levels of life for the communities they would affect.
