MyStemKits develops K-12 curriculum for standards-driven instruction and 3D-printable manipulatives to create an end-to-end STEM solution. Our focus on real-world, hands-on learning has been designed to promote deep conceptual understanding so students are equipped to succeed in the 21st century.
In partnership with the Florida Center for Research in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (FCR-STEM) based out of Florida State University (FSU) to create standards-driven, vetted curriculum. The FCR-STEM curriculum team consists of teachers and content-area experts who design, develop, and test each lesson plan. Each lesson is based on pedagogy built on a strong foundation using educational research and teaching experience. With a focus on preparing students for the challenges of an ever-changing world, these professionals develop cross-curricular lesson plans that tackle real-world challenges to force the students to pursue deep thinking.
MyStemKits’ curriculum includes Teacher Guides complete with an overview of the content, learning objectives, guiding questions, and the skills, practices and procedures needed to implement the lessons. The curriculum also includes ready to use Student Handouts and Assessments. Finally, detailed Model Guides for the 3D kits are provided and include detailed parts lists and photographic assembly instructions.
The transition years between elementary and high school are critical to generating and sustaining interest in the STEM fields. We’ve focused on integrating cross-curricular lesson plans at this level to mirror the real-world integration of math, science, technology, and engineering.
