This free-spinning kit allows for interactive investigation of a mathematical model that can be used to understand the underlying phenomenon that generates the Coriolis Effect. Students completing an investigation with this model will be poised to better understand and explain physical wind and ocean phenomena related to Earth’s rotation. For small build volumes, the 3-pencil base may be too large to print. Simply print the other pieces and tape the pencils to the table.
This kit involves prints for flexible filament. If you do not have a printer that can run flexible filament, print the hard plastic versions only and tape them to the meter stick to prevent sliding.
